‘Just Stop the Madness’ Canadians and Americans Rally in Unity for Canada at Peace Bridge

Despite heavy rain, a passionate crowd of Canadians lined the Niagara River near the base of the Peace Bridge on Wednesday evening, standing in solidarity against U.S. President Donald Trump’s approach to Canada-U.S. relations.

Waving flags and braving the storm, dozens gathered to support around 200 Americans who were simultaneously participating in an “Elbows Up for Canada” rally on the Buffalo, New York side of the river.

The peaceful demonstration served as a powerful symbol of cross-border unity, as both Canadians and Americans voiced their frustration with the current political tensions. Their message was loud and clear — not just to each other, but directly aimed at President Trump: “Just stop the madness.”

The rally underscored a shared commitment to preserving the long-standing friendship between the two nations, and to calling for respectful, cooperative dialogue moving forward.
