Man faces assault charge after knife pulled on off-duty officer, Niagara police say

A guy is facing charges after drawing a blade on an off-duty policeman at a Walmart in Niagara Falls, Ont. on Wednesday, authorities claim.

Niagara cops claim the event taken place when a female was being apprehended by safety and security, with the aid of the policeman, leaving the Oakwood Drive store around 6:30 p.m. with unsettled products.

A male colleague drew a blade and also threaten to stab the off-duty policeman when the women attempted to escape arrest.

A 47-year-old Niagara Falls male is dealing with four fees consisting of attacking a police officer and also assault with a tool.

The 41-year-old woman, likewise from Niagara Falls, is dealing with a theft cost.

Both are readied to appear before a St. Catharines court on March 3.
